Gilivazio Akambamu, (born May 29, 1998) now professionally known as Khan Givas[1] [2], is a Ugandan musician, rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is known for his Hip-hop and Pop style with afrobeats influences.

Early life

Khan was born and raised by a single mother in Mbarara, Uganda. He comes from a humble family of six siblings (one brother and five sisters).

Education:

Khan Givas [3] attended Akashanda Primary School for his primary level, and Gulu Army Secondary School for his secondary level. He later joined Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative pursuing a course in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) basics in Gulu, Uganda.[4]

Music career

Gilivazio has been passionate about music since childhood, engaging in several community entertainment auditions, local drama, school competitions and other related activities. This literally changed from just being passionate to music and became part of him.

Khan Givas (2016-present)

In 2016, Khan Givas [5] [6] [7] [8] formed and launched his own record label “Hustlers Base Collaborations”, in the same year, he recorded his very first single titled "Am Loving" but it had limited success. Later, In 2020, he continued growing his career releasing singles such as “Ndeeba”, “Kiga Nation”, “Gambaye Featuring Nohart”, “On Fleek”, “Jitambue”[9][10] under his own record label “Hustlers Base Collaborations” (HBC) on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, YouTube, among others. It was on these digital streaming platforms that he gained notable recognition.
