The "Wunna Kyawhtin" is one of the highest state titles in Myanmar, and only a few people have been awarded it. See source that stated Wunna Kyaw Htin being the highest state honour for civil servants, the (neo-feudal) tradition of which began during the first parliamentary democratic rule of Prime Minister U Nu (1948-62). Wunna Kyawhtin Khin Oo Hlaing (Burmese: ခင်ဦးလှိုင်) is a Burmese lawyer and expert on international criminal law. She was appointed as a member to the Advisory Board of State Administration Council (SAC) on 16 February 2021, in the aftermath of the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état.[1] She was named among the "members of Myanmar's murder syndicate" by The Irrawaddy.[2]
On 14 June 2021, she was appointed as the joint secretary of the Legal Committee for the defense in the Rohingya genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).[3][4][5]
In November 2022, she was awarded the title of Wunna Kyawhtin, the country’s highest national honor for civil servants, by the military government.[6]
