Kia Jam is the president of K.Jam Media and a film producer.[1]
Biography[edit]
Jam is the founder and President of K. Jam Media. He has produced and financed over 20 films over the past 17 years, including Accidental Love (2015), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2013) and Devil's Pass which was shot on location in Russia in 2013.
Before founding K. Jam Media, Jam was a producer at Ascendant Pictures, in Beverly Hills, where he was the producer of films including Lucky Number Slevin, Ask the Dust and The Jacket. In 2006 he was an executive producer of the sci-fi action adventure Outlander in partnership with The Weinstein Company. He is also the producer of Who's Your Caddy? and Timber Falls.
Prior to his tenure at Ascendant, Jam was President of an independent film production company based in Santa Monica, California. In 2002, he produced Juwanna Mann for Morgan Creek Pictures and Warner Bros. Among his other productions are Dungeons & Dragons.
Prior to producing features, Jam worked for the visual effects company Digital Domain where he was involved in the production of over 60 television commercials, including a Clio Award-winning Jeep Commercial and David Fincher’s Grammy Award-winning Rolling Stones music video for Love is Strong. He has also served as a consultant for a clients such as Relativity Media, Xinhua Media Entertainment, and Miramax Films, where together with his partners he secured and help organize the $660m purchase of Miramax from The Walt Disney Company for its current owners.
Jam graduated from the University of California Irvine with a degree in Political Science. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Youth Foundation. He and his wife live in Los Angeles.
