Wu Jie Ming Kiat Goh (simplified Chinese: 吴杰鸣; traditional Chinese: 吳杰鳴; pinyin: Wú Jié Míng, born 5 September 1979) is a Singaporean singer-songwriter and a classically trained vocalist.

Life and career[edit]

Kiat was born in Singapore on 5 Septmber 1979. He attended Temasek Primary School, Temasek Secondary School and Temasek Junior College. He then obtained a Diploma in Multimedia from Raffles Design Institute.

After his graduation, Kiat spent a year training at the Moscow Conservatory of Music where he received training in classical opera singing. He then continued his vocal training in Berlin for another four years with Reiner Goldberg. In Berlin, he was involved in the production of the modern opera "Simplicius Simplicissimus" by Karl Amadeus Hartmann.

Kiat's debut release, Pluto (2014) is a concept album with tinges of jazz, trip pop mixed with contemporary balladry [1] At the end of 2014, he released a pair of original Christmas songs, titled Oh, The Season and Fortunate.[2]

On 21 December 2019, Kiat Goh released Wanderlust, a multi-genre album inspired by a collection of true stories from around the world.[3][4][5]
