Kill System is a Christian metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas, that formed in 2002. Multiple members have been in Soul Embraced, Living Sacrifice, and Evanescence. John LeCompt formed the band with Living Sacrifice guitarist Rocky Gray to form what would be known as Kill System, alongside Chad Moore (Soul Embraced) on bass, and Lance Garvin (Living Sacrifice, Soul Embraced) on drums. While the project never obtained an official distribution deal, and despite the members' history of a heavier music style, Kill System evolved into something more melodic and became a favorite among fans. Gray states in an interview that the band, in some ways, turned into Mourningside, and states: "Kill System in some ways turned into Mourningside. John [LeCompt] and I kind of took that sound we started with Kill System and improved on it and got a few friends to work with us on it but essentially its the same thing."[2]
