Killing Aura are a British Alternative Rock band from Nottingham. Formed in 2020, the band consists of vocalist Chris Gordon, guitarist Tom Burrows, bassist Ben Lanckham and drummer Danny Gage.[1]
Musical style and influences
Following their critically acclaimed track ‘Million’, the lads adopt a super-charged alternative rock sound in ‘Resolution’. Interestingly enough, while there is a strong contemporary alt-rock style to the track, elements of classic rock break through the soundscape. In a melodic arrangement, there is a sense of flow to the hard-hitting arrangement; however, each instrument appears to have prominence while still coming together in a harmonic whole.[2] Killing Aura have been described as "an onslaught of power and attitude" referencing an underlying punk rock sound.[3]
