Kimberly Lynn Hammonds (Born May 21, 1967) is an American businesswoman with who has worked in automotive, aerospace, technology and financial services industries. Hammonds currently serves on the board of both private and public companies including Zoom Video Communications..[1], Cloudera[2] and Segment[3].

Education[edit]

Hammonds received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1990 where she was a member of the Society of Women Engineers.[4] In 1993 Hammonds received a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University.[5]

Career[edit]

Hammonds started her career at the Ford Motor Company. After her time at Ford, Hammonds went on to work for Dell for two years as a Director of Information Technology before moving to The Boeing Company. She was the first female Group Chief Information Officer at Boeing where she was responsible for the IT strategy, operations, processes.[6][7]

Following her time at Boeing, Kim joined Deutsche Bank, a German banking and financial services company, as Global CIO and Global Co-Head of Technology and Operations in 2013.[8] During her time there she went on to become Group COO for the company and the third female Management Board member in the history of the bank.[9]

She was appointed as board member for Red Hat with a seat on the Nominating and Governance & Compensation Committees in 2015.[10] While on the board of directors Red Hat was acquired by IBM in one of the largest tech deals in U.S. history for $34 billion.[11]

Hammonds currently holds senior advisory positions for the private companies; Scala Computing[12], Apptio[13], Productiv[14]

In 2018 Kim founded Mangrove Digital Group, which provides technology and business transformation expertise to Technology Company CEOs.[15]

Hammonds is currently the member of the board of directors at the public companies Zoom Video Communications, Box[16], Cloudera and Tenable[17] and the private companies Segment and Cumulus Networks[18]

Influence and Honors[edit]

She is the mission speaker at the American Cancer Society Discovery Gala for 2019.[19]

Kim is currently executive in residence at the University of Miami Business School where she helps students reach their career goals through personal guidance and seminars.[20]

In 2017 she was voted as the top 10 digital leaders in Germany by Capital Magazine.[21]

In 2012 Hammonds was recognized by Computerworld in its 2012 list of Premier 100 Information Technology Leaders.[22]

Kim was named as the top 50 women to watch by Crain's Chicago Business in 2011.[23]

Hammonds started The Zoe Foundation in 2003 which provides art programs for cancer patients.[24]
