On August 7, 2019, it was announced that Inseong had a sternum injury, and he would be temporarily halting all activities as he would be resting for three to four weeks.[6]

On March 2, 2021, Inseong renewed his exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment.[7]

He and the other members of SF9 were announced to be participating in the 2021 reality survival show Kingdom: Legendary War, which aired every Thursday on Mnet between April 1 and June 3, 2021,[8] arriving in sixth place.[9]
