Kimara Zuri Snipes (born September 26, 1975) is an American politician, She ran for 2018 general election for Omaha Public Schools Board of Education Subdistrict 8 receiving 100.00% of the vote with no incumbent, Now She is a member and a representatives of the Omaha Public Schools Board of Education Subdistrict 8, She is a candidate for the Democratic primary in 2021 Omaha mayoral election.
Early life, education[edit]
She was born in Nebraska, she was raised in Omaha, Nebraska[3], Graduated from Bryan High School of Class of 1993[4] and resides in Omaha, Nebraska, she started college at university of nebraska at omaha[5], she leave college in may 2015.
Career[edit]
Snipes began her career in 1988. By volunteering in a church[6],
In 2019, Snipes join the group and then became president of South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance since 2019[7], and more group that she joined[8]
Board of Education Subdistrict 8[edit]
In Janauary 2018, Snipe announced her candidacy for the 2018 Omaha Public Schools Elections for Board of Education Subdistrict 8 seat held by first-term representatives Lacey Merica[9]. On May 15, 2018, she won the Democratic primary with 100.00%.
She was elected Board of education with 100.00% of votes, on November 6, 2018.
Mayor of Omaha[edit]
On December 1, 2020, Snipes announced her candidacy for Mayor of Omaha.[10], The primary election will be held in April 6, 2021.
