Kimberly Michelle Cloud (born July 3, 1984) is an African American entrepreneur and talk show host. She is the founder of Genuinely Michelle Wigs LLC and Blue Cloud Cleaning LLC. Cloud is known for creating successful businesses from the ground up and is dedicated to empowering people, especially women, by addressing mental health issues.
Early life and education
Cloud received her early education through homeschooling in Charlotte, concurrently working at Winn-Dixie. She completed her high school education at Oxon Hill High School. She pursued her higher education at various institutions, obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from Coppin State University and further studies in Communication and Media Studies at Hawaii Pacific University. She also holds an Associate of Science in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Alan Hancock College and, in 2020, pursued a Master's in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix.
Career
After earning her high school diploma in 2002, Cloud enlisted in the US Army, where she served over three years in the culinary arts division. During her post-military discharge in 2006, she worked at Convergys as a customer support representative for two years. After taking a break, Cloud joined Alorica as a customer care agent for five months. In 2013, Cloud left her job to pursue further studies.
In 2020, Cloud initiated her entrepreneurial journey and became the founder of two businesses, Blue Cloud Cleaning and Genuinely Michelle Wigs LLC. Blue Cloud Cleaning provides advanced cleaning services, and Genuinely Michelle Wigs LLC specializes in creating, installing, and customizing natural-looking hair wigs. Personal life
Cloud suffered from mental health challenges during her childhood. When she turned fifteen years old, her suffering worsened when her mother passed away from stage 4 cancer. Ever since, she has spoken actively about mental health to empower others so they can express their goals.
Cloud is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish. She engages in various media platforms, advocating for her businesses and sharing her inspirational journey.
