Early years[edit]

Missouri[edit]
After red-shirting in 2008, Edwards played college football as a defensive back for the Missouri Tigers from 2009 to 2012.[3] He was rated as "the best of the bunch" in Missouri's 2008 recruiting class.[2] As a sophomore, he played on the 2010 Missouri team that compiled a 10–2 record in the regular season and was ranked No. 14 before losing to Iowa in the Insight Bowl. In all, Edwards appeared in 49 games for the Tigers, tallying 157 total tackles and five interceptions.[3]
Professional football[edit]
After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, Edwards was signed in April 2013 by the Buffalo Bills.[4] He attended training camp and played in four preseason games and was released at the end of August.[5]
He was signed by the Cleveland Browns in early September 2013.[6] He was assigned the practice squad but release at the end of the month.[7]
In November 2013, Edwards was signed by the Minnesota Vikings to the club's practice squad.[8] He was waived by the Vikings in June 2014.[9]
He was signed by the Buccaneers at the end of July,[10] but waived at the end of August.[11]
In September 2015, he was signed to the practice roster of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.[12] He was released by the Roughriders at the end of October.[13]
Coaching career[edit]
In 2015, Edwards served as a quality control-special teams coach and recruiting director at Missouri State.[14][15] Since 2016, he has been part of the coaching staff for the Washington State Cougars, most recently as the team's defensive quality control coach.[15]
