Career[edit]
While working in Chennai, Kiran had met Malayalam Film Director Ranjith and had expressed his interest in Film Making and Director Ranjith told Kiran to work has an assistant director for his movie Pranchiyettan and The Saint. While working on his movie set Director Ranjith had told Kiran to take up Photography, Hence, Kiran joined as an assistant photographer with Celebrity Photographer T. Selva Kumar. Under T. Selva Kumar he had assisted him many photo shoots. Some important works he had assisted was for the Coffee Table Book of A. R. Rahman called "Reflections", Sudha Raghunathan's Coffee Table Book "Sampurna", and many Ads and Editorial Shoots with notable Celebrities like Harris jayaraj, Swagatha Sundar, Chimayi, Vijay Yesudas, Hariharan etc. While working in Chennai. Kiran had met Film producer and Distributor Shyam Nair, who advised Kiran to take up Cinematography, as you have assisted has a Photographer for a long time. Hence Kiran started freelancing as a Photographer and Cinematographer, He worked in few ad films, Short FIlms and later on worked with some cinematographers mainly, M. C. Ganesh Chandra, Sameer Thahir, Girish Gangadharan, N. Om, Adwaith Shine etc... While working as a freelancer in Bangalore, Kiran agreed to work as Cinematographer for the Directorial Debut of Kannada Film Director and Actor Girish Kumar B's "Aavahayami".
