Kitopi is a startup that operates a network of cloud kitchens (also known as virtual kitchens or dark kitchens). [1][2][3][4].[5]

Cloud kitchens differs from ghost restaurants in the sense that instead of operating as one restaurant brand, they facilitate as a meal preparation hub for delivery orders for a dozen or more restaurant brands in the same location.[6] Cloud kitchens have emerged as a business model in response to the rapid growth in consumer demand for restaurant delivery meals, from virtual restaurants.[7] [8] Lower costs are incurred by using kitchen facilities located outside of high-rent, high-foot-trafficked urban locations. [9] In addition to equipped kitchen space and dedicated parking areas for delivery drivers. Kitopi offers point of sale and ordering software that accommodates various delivery platforms (GrubHub, UberEats, Zomato, DoorDash,Talabat e.g.) to aid processing orders.[10]

On Feb 3, 2020, Kitopi announced it raised $60 million from its Series B round of funding.[11] [12].
