Kivesvaara is a hill in Paltamo, Kainuu, Finland. Next to it lies the Kivesjärvi lake. On clear weather, visibility from the hill peak is c. 20–30 km.[1]
Kivesvaara used to host a ski resort in 1989–1995.[1] Later, it has become a location of multiple hiking tracks. On the side of the hill is the Yölinnunkuru ravine which is now a conservation area. In 1968, a meteorite crash site was found on the hill.[2]
