Kiwimane
Kiwimane is a United Kingdom-born rapper who currently lives in New Zealand, where he is an established songwriter and performer.
Early Life
Kiwimane was born in Birmingham, England in 2002.[1] He moved to New Zealand in 2007, where he first attended Napier Intermediate School.[2] His exemplary leadership abilities compelled the senior management to promote him to School Leader (See "Plastic Plate Incident of 2015"). He later attended Napier Boys' High School, where he developed a passion for rap music.[3]
Early Rap Career
In the early stages of his rap career, Kiwimane went by the pseudonym "Big Tony", which was a reference to his physical appearance.[4] In early 2020, he was overcome with a sense of New Zealand patriotism after discussing the hate speech of a former classmate towards ANZAC soldiers, and settled upon the name "Kiwimane". Kiwi refers to the national bird of New Zealand[5], and Mane is a play on the pronunciation of the word "man".
Viral Success
Kiwimane remained relatively unknown in the rap community until he released his number 1 hit "Kiwimane Special Part 1"[6] on 20 April 2020. The song was met with instant success, and was soon followed up by the song "Kiwimane Special Part 2".[7]
Firearm interest and collection =
Kiwimane has held and displayed a fascination with firearms since the beginning of his rap career. He owns a replica Colt M1911[8] and will soon purchase a replica StG 77.
