Kizuna Ai (Japanese: キズナアイ) is a Japanese virtual idol, video blogger and creator of the YouTube channels "A.I.Channel" and "A.I.Games". She is considered to be the world's first virtual YouTuber. At the end of November 2016, Kizuna Ai opened her first major channel, "A.I.Channel," on YouTube. The channel was subsequently suspended, and the videos were transferred to the Niconico Douga website. In March 2017, Kizuna Ai gradually gained attention in Japan, South Korea, and other places, largely due to the opening of the gaming channel, "A.I.Games".
Kizuna Ai's appearance was designed by Morikura Maru (森倉円). Her 3D model was produced by Tomitake, and Tda supervised its production; however, the actual story editor, sound source, and other creators remain undisclosed. The channel's videos are rendered and animated using the free software MikuMikuDance, employing motion capture technology, and are voiced by a voice actress. The video topics are similar to those of other YouTubers, including discussions, Q&A videos, and game live streams.
