Knitting Accessories
Knitting accessories are an important component in every knitter’s list of “must haves”[1]. Apart from the importance of the right yarn and knitting needles, they help the knitter to finish their work in a professional manner. Some of the most necessary knitting accessories are stitch holders, foldable scissors/yarn cutters[lower-alpha 1], measuring tapes, row counter rings[lower-alpha 2], knitting needle gauges[lower-alpha 3], and stitch holder. Another helpful thing for any craftsperson is the right project bag or tote. It helps to keep work that is in progress apart and away from dirt or spills of all kinds. If constructed with the right number of pockets and compartments, it allows the owner to organize their accessories and keep all their knitting tools[3] neatly at hand. They come in all sizes and configurations.
Many also like to keep their knitting needles or crochet hook[lower-alpha 4] organized in separate needle cases. That way they can organize them by size, and always know exactly what they have. This is especially important for people who like to knit[4] with circular needles[lower-alpha 5]. Finding a smart way to organize the cables and accessories that go along with circular needles helps them keep neat and untangled. Since a lot of the tools of the trade that are necessary are smaller in size, it’s also a good idea to consider using pouches for things such as stitch markers[5] and wool darning needles.
