Eniola Korty Olanrewaju (born April 2) known professionally as Korty EO is an Indie Filmmaker and YouTuber from Nigeria. She became known in 2020, when she gave a story of how she quit her job at emPawa Africa to start a YouTube channel[1] She has also had partnerships with Spotify, Skillshare and Flutter wave.[2][3]

Background, education and career[edit]

In 2018, after graduating from the university, she got a job as a media creative at Zikoko Mag. She left Zikoko Mag in 2020 as a video producer to lead the content team at emPawa Africa.[4]

Youtube channel - Korty EO[edit]

Towards the end of 2020, Korty quit her job at emPawa Africa to start a YouTube channel which she got over 10,000 subscribers by January 2021 and over 100,000 subscribers within a year.[5] By March 2021, she started a character-driven show on her channel called 'Flow with Korty', that focuses on individual experiences of Africans doing amazing things across different sectors. Her show has featured Rema, Asa, Victony, Don Jazzy, Ayra Starr, Blaqbonez, and Netta.[6]

Recognitions and achievements[edit]

Korty worked on projects with brands Nike, Google Arts and Culture, Big Brother Naija, Coachella, GT Bank, Keeks, Spotify and Fenty.[7] She was selected as a member of the YouTube Black Voices Class of 2023.[8]
