Kosmonaut Production vzw[1] was a Belgian cultural organization[2] that supported a diverse group of artists within dance and performance art.
Shari Aku Legbedje, Lena Meckler and Anastasie Tchernokondratenko founded the organization in 2013 and in 2021 Kosmonaut Production was dissolved.
Organization[edit]
Kosmonaut Production was founded as a platform that supports professional artists, collectives and companies. The organization supported these artists on a business, administrative, promotional and productional level, acted as a coach and built (international) networking.
The organization supported both experienced and beginning artists within various art disciplines. Artists could choose to what extent they appealed to Kosmonaut: an intensive long-term guidance (including coaching), a project collaboration with defined tasks, a one-off consultation about subsidies, budgets, legislation, etc. (called KosmoTalks), ...
As an organization, Kosmonaut Production was supported by project grants from the Flemish government, the City of Antwerp and the Province of Antwerp.
