Kotaro Horiuchi is an architect and urban designer born on 31st August 1978 in Nagoya, Japan. He was recognised as one of the best hundred architects of the new generation in Japan.[1] Graduating from Graduate school of Meiji University, Tokyo in Master of Engineering (Urban and Architecture) and Department of Architecture, Graduate School of Science and Technology before working for Mecanoo Architecten Delft, PPAG architekten in Vienna from 2003 to 2005 and then at DPA - Dominique Perrault Architecture from 2005 to 2009 in Paris, he subsequently created his own architecture firm Kotaro Horiuchi Architecture, with branches located in Paris, Tokyo and Nagoya.[2]
