Krishnagar High School
Krishnagar High School is one of the oldest high schools in Krishnagar, Nadia.
Being situated on Ananta Hari Mitra Road, Krishnagar, it opens doors to students of all around the city. Moreover, being at the heart of the city makes transportation easier. The school was set up in 1939 in the undivided Bengal and has been able to make so many bright students who are working in IT sectors or are offering service as doctors. Some of those are studying abroad i.e., in Canada, UAE, Germany, Russia & Japan for higher education. They have Vidyarthi Samman Winners, Silver Zone Olympiad Rankers, PRMO, RMO, IMO Rankers, SVCMCS (Juniors). Besides, they have made State Level & National Cricket & Football Players too.
Features
The school is a three-storied building and has 25 classrooms with 5 laboratories and 25 computers for the students. The two neem trees give shelter to various organisms and make the surroundings cooler in the hot summer. The students have taken up a project for planting trees every Saturday. The number of students is around 1.5K. The 31 teachers teach well and 5 office workers work actively. A parking area is there and a large playground is on the opposite side of the school. A stage is there where prizes are distributed, and cultural programmes are held. A school magazine is brought out annually. Almost every year, in the boards, their students do well and get to the top 20 ranks in the state.
