Kristina Adebaio (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist., born 19 January 2002) is a Russian taekwondo practitioner. She is a World and European Championships medalist and a multiple-time Russian national champion.
Biography
Kristina Adebaio was born on 19 January 2002. She began practicing taekwondo in 2018.[1] She graduated from the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism in 2023.
Career
In 2018, Adebaio won the bronze medal in the over 63 kg category at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.[2]
In 2019, she won the gold medal at the European Junior Taekwondo Championships in Valencia.[3]
In 2022, she was the silver medalist at the Russian Spartakiad in summer sports.[4]
On 31 May 2022, she was awarded the title of International Master of Sports of Russia.[5]
At the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, she claimed the bronze medal in the +73 kg category, losing in the semifinals to Nafia Kuş of Turkey.[6]
In May 2024, at the 2024 European Taekwondo Championships in Belgrade, she also won the bronze medal in the +73 kg category.[7][8]
On 8 November 2024, in Nalchik, she won the Russian National Championships by defeating Linara Muslimova from Ulyanovsk Oblast in the final.[9]
