Krummavísa (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) or Krummi krunkar úti (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) is a traditional Icelandic folk song or nursery rhyme. The song was published in 1898 in the book Þulur og skemtanir (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) by Ólafur Davíðsson,[1] and republished in 1906 in Íslenzk þjóðlög (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) by Bjarni Þorsteinsson,[2] and in the 1907 book Lesbók handa börnum og unglingum (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.).[3] Bjarni learned the song from Ólafur, who in turn learned it as a child in Sléttuhlíð.

Poetry rules
As with all traditional Icelandic poetry (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.), Krummavísa conforms to the set of rules called bragfræði (prosody). According to this system, a poem must be alliterative: a line of verse must have two words beginning with the same letter, and the first word of the next line must also begin with the same letter. Here, for example, the first line has two words beginning with a K (krummi and krunkar) and the first word of the second line also begins with a K (kallar).[5]
