Kung Fu Space Punch was a planned Netflix original animated science fiction martial arts film directed by Jorge Gutierrez. In May 2022, Gutierrez announced that the project is not moving forward at Netflix.[1]
Plot[edit]
Johnny Holliday, an American Kung Fu cowboy guy in space who falls in love with Ramona Sanchez, a hot-headed childhood rival turned hardcore Mexican cop, while fighting the legendary villain Kathulo for the fate of the galaxy.

Development[edit]
On February 18, 2015, Reel FX Creative Studios announced that Jorge Gutierrez will direct and co-write untitled kung fu space western with Douglas, and Gutierrez will produce with his wife Sandra Equihua and Brad Booker.[2] On June 15, 2017, Reel FX and Gutierrez revealed the official title, Kung-Fu Space Punch, and plot at the Annecy Animation Film Festival.[3]
