Kuprii Vitalii (Ukrainian: Віталій Купрій), born August 20, 1973 in Kamianske is a Ukrainian politician, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine of 8th convocation.

Biography[edit]

Vitalii Kuprii was born on August 20, 1973 in Dneprodzerzhinsk. In 1990 he graduated from school # 29. In 1995 he graduated from Oles Honchar Dnipro National University with a degree in Economics. After university, he was engaged in business. From 1995 to 2006 – self-employed in business (construction, advertising, trade). In 2002 - Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia, specialty Master of Business Administration (MBA). From 1995 to 2006 he successfully self-employed in business (construction, trade, advertising). In 2011-2013 he studied at Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (law specialist), and in 2012-2013 he studied at the Institute of Political Education in Kiev to improve the qualifications of a deputy and gaining experience in public administration in the EU.[2]

Political activity[edit]

Since April 2007 - the head of the public organization "Dneprodzerzhinsk Human Rights Union".[3] Took second place in the extraordinary elections of the mayor of Dneprodzerzhinsk in March 2008. By 2010 he headed the Alternate Executive Committee of Dneprodzerzhinsk. In October 2010, he was elected a deputy of Dneprodzerzhinsk City Council. In 2012, he was a candidate for the Verkhovna Rada of district # 30 by self-nomination. Received a result at 10.88% (8,420 votes in favor). During the Revolution of Dignity - commandant of the Kyiv Administration, the head of the legal department. In April 2014, he headed the Commission against Corruption and Crime in Dneprodzerzhinsk. He was counselor to the Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration on Law Enforcement agencies and Anti-Criminal agencies. Freelance counselor to the Minister of Ecology in cases of the fight against corruption. In the Ukrainian parliamentary election in October 2014, he won in the majority district # 29 in Dnipropetrovsk region, ahead of the nearest candidate by 11% of the votes. On November 27, 2014, he became a People's Deputy of Ukraine.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Married, has three children.

He is interested in philosophy and psychology, publishes scientific works. He wrote the book "The Evil That Governes the World, or the Way to Happiness." [5] He is actively going for sports, sailing yachting, a candidate for master of sports with powerlifting. Fluently speaks English. Senior lieutenant of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
