Kutmusic

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Kutmusic is a record label based in Italy and founded in the 1990s.[1] The first productions were not self-published but licensed to other labels for use within compilations.
It is an independent label releasing physical and digital releases since 1998.
Initially, the focus was on electronic music; later, Kutmusic has released music in all styles, and both re-releases (under license) and original products.

Between 1999 and 2002, Kutmusic was part of the Napster case, actively challenging Napster's alleged copyright violation activity,[2][3] also as part of an attempted class action of independent artists and labels. The case was settled in 2002, in favour of Kutmusic, just before Napster's chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Some of the artists include: Neu Abdominaux Dangereux (with albums "Dangereuxorcisms"[4] and "Post Kali Yuga"[5]); a trio formed by Scott Amendola, Michael Manring and Roberto Zorzi[6]; La Compagnia dl Trivelìn (jazz trio including Massimo Barbiero on drums, Boris Savoldelli's voice and Roberto Maria Zorzi on guitar)[7], Bruno Canfora: RADAR (electropop band formed in the early 1980s); Frank Sinapsi (a duo including guitarist and jazz expert Enrico Merlin and drummer Francesco Cusa)[8]; Hyapatia Lee (her rock album from 1994 was re-released in 2010)[9]; Peluqueria Henrnandez (a latin jazz/rock/exotic band from Italy, whose music was used in the film "Time to Kill", a pulp-sexploitation movie by American director Brian Williams). Many of the jazz releases have entered the JazzWeek charts.
Due to the current European copyright laws, Kutmusic was able to release a Beatles single with two live tracks, in 2014.
