Reception[edit]

Film scholar Aloy Deb Barma referred to the movie as a "vanity endeavor" or a "self-indulgent production," eschewing the outcome as being far too intimate to be consequential to a larger demographic. He found it "hard to care" about the individual tales because the movie was based on Tripura's own reveries about tribal folktales that emerged from the people's distinctive identity and unconscious mind.
