Kyla Herbes (born November 2, 1974) is an American interior designer, content creator, writer, and speaker who is well known for her modern eclectic style. She founded the home decoration brand House Of Hipsters[1] in 2013 and educates and encourages her readers to show off their unique personality with their home design.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Kyla grew up in Baraboo, WI a small town just north of Madison. As a child, her mother worked as a seamstress for a local interior design and furniture company, and she believes this had a profound affect on her career. She graduated from University Of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a B.A. in Fine Arts and Communication focusing on advertising and graphic design and moved to the suburbs of Chicago, IL.
Career[edit]
During her advertising years, Herbes began writing a design and lifestyle blog. She left the ad agency world in 2016 and used her online status to reinvent herself in the world of interior design. Since she has appeared on television networks such as on BravoTV[2] and WGN TV's Weekend Workbench[3].
