Kynan Brown is a professional Australian rules footballer who was selected by Melbourne Football Club with pick 22 in the 2023 AFL rookie draft.[1] Brown is the eldest son of Demons player Nathan Brown .

Career[edit]


Brown played his junior career with Blackburn Football Club in the EFNL before being picked up by the Oakleigh Chargers in 2022. At the conclusion of the 2022 Coates League season, Brown was awarded Oakleigh Chargers Best First Year Player.

Brown played 12 games for the Chargers in the 2023 season kicking 12 goals including a 5 goal haul against Northern Knights. Brown debuted for the Casey Demons in Round 19 of the 2023 VFL season collecting 6 disposals and a goal. Off of strong performances throughout the year Brown was selected in the Vic Metro squad where he was named Vic Metro's Best 'n' Fairest at the conclusion of the championships.

Brown attended Box Hill Senior Secondary College as a part of their selective sports academy.

Brown would make his AFL debut in the Demon's Round 15 match against North Melbourne where he would proceed to lay the game saving tackle to win by 3 points.
