L'Frankie
L’Frankie (born Francis Reuben Monseo Wollo Jr; May 9, 1992) is a Liberian Afrobeat and Hipco recording artist. He first became known as one half of the duo PCK & L’Frankie, before releasing solo material.
Early life
Francis Reuben Monseo Wollo Jr was born in Monrovia, Liberia, on May 9, 1992. He began recording music in his teenage years.
Career
PCK & L’Frankie (2010–2015)
The duo PCK & L’Frankie gained national attention in 2012 with the release of I Love You Mother. They won the Best New Artist award at the Liberia Music Awards in 2015.[1] In 2018, the group filed a lawsuit against Lonestar Cell/MTN over alleged unauthorized use of their music.[2][3]
Solo career (2016–present)
Following the duo’s hiatus, L’Frankie pursued a solo career, releasing singles such as Something Big (2022) and Hold It Tight (2023). His 2023 album Frankie FC and the single Hold It Tight received nominations at the MTN Liberia Music Awards.[4][5]
