Leonard Anderson (September 18, 1996-September 26 2013), known professionally as L’A Capone was a Chicago rapper and songwriter.[citation needed] He rose to prominence during the ”Chicago drill era”. His song with RondoNumbaNine, another Chicago rapper, "Play For Keeps" has gained over 50 million views on Youtube.[1] Anderson died at just 17 years old on September 18, 1996. He had just left the recording studio in the 7000 block of South Stony Island Avenue and was walking through an alley when he was confronted and shot. He was struck in the lower back and right thigh and died a short time later.[2]
