LEDA 2791735
LEDA 2791735 is a spiral galaxy in the southern constellation Carina. It can be seen between star TYC 8948-1841-1 and elliptical galaxy NGC 2887. In other catalogs, it's called RKK 1284 or PGC 2791735. It's only interesting because it is one of those galaxies that can be seen through the dusty region full of stars that make the detection of galaxies impossible.[1] Because of its unlucky position, there is no exact data about it and it is too faint to be detected through smaller telescopes.
Observation[edit]
It can be seen 75.77 arcseconds south from NGC 2887 and 141.57 arcseconds west from TYC 8948-1841-1, a 11 magnitude star (G6) about 900 light years away.[2][3] It is located in a region full of stars and iit is not surprising that there are minimum two stars in front of it but they are too faint to be catalogized by any catalog so they are not even in 2MASS or WISE catalogs.
