LGBT (imageboard)
/lgbt/ is a board on the English-language imageboard website 4chan dedicated to discussion of the LGBTQ+ community.
History
/lgbt/ was established in March 18, 2013, along with other boards dedicated to alternative sports, graphic design, outdoor recreation, and retro gaming. The board's creation was met with surpise among 4chan's userbase as the site held a repution for it's coordination of pranks and harassment against websites and users, and the posting of illegal and offensive content as a result of its lax censorship and moderation policies. Many users questioned if the board was an April Fools' Day joke or hoax. The board was created as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community.[1]

The Daily Dot praised /lgbt/'s additon on 4chan, describing it as the site's first board devoted to a social issue, and how it's users reacted it in a civil and thoughtful manner contray to it's usual repution.[1]
