LJ Research (formerly Lynn Jones Research) was a market research agency based in Edinburgh, Scotland established in 1998. The company was acquired by STR, Inc a global data benchmarking and analytics specialist in 2016, and became STR's Tourism Consumer Insights division, specializing in tourism, leisure, and consumer industries through conducting qualitative research, quantitative research, as well as secondary research.

Visitrac is the company's online survey system that is used for customer feedback.

LJ Forecaster[edit]

The LJ Forecaster was the company's hotel benchmarking system that monitors trends based on achieved and future performance. In 2017, the product was rebranded as STR's Forecaster Program.

Clients[edit]

STR's Tourism Consumer Insights team serves clients in Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe as well as worldwide. Well-known clients include the National Trust for Scotland, the Leisure Pass Group (the operators of city attraction passes, including the Paris Pass) and Skyscanner. Additionally, the team works with many destination management organizations and tourist boards to provide insightful and actionable tourism research.
