La Mirada Punks were a brutal hardcore punk gang that emerged in Orange County and Los Angeles county in the California punk scene from 1977-1980.[3] The gang gained a deadly reputation for being violent on the streets. In 1985, the gang was revived & continued their murderous rampage on a mission to prove their loyalty to one prison gang they see as just their gruesome master, the Nazi Low Riders.[1] In recent years, LMP has formed as a street gang and prison gang. They are involved in assault, murder, drive-by shootings, & hate crimes. Their allies are East Side Punx, Sureños, Mexican Mafia, Aryan Brotherhood, Public Enemy No. 1, & L.A. Death Squad. Their main rivals are the Bloods, the Crips, the Black Guerilla Family, Norteños, Nuestra Familia, and SKUNX, another hardcore punk gang from Northern California. The Nazi Low Riders sees La Mirada Punks as a paramilitary group & hires them for criminal activities such as target hits, extermination missions, higly armed robberies, drive-by shootings, hate crimes and causing mayhem at concerts.

Lifestyle[edit]

The gang is also associated with the Peckerwood subculture. LMP also has a lifestyle besides being criminals. They are like peckerwoods, but the gang is against any type of illegal drug use. Since their rise in the California punk scene, they engage in Punk Rock, and Hardcore punk concerts. The bands LMP are influenced on are Suicidal Tendencies, Blink-182, Black Flag, Green Day, The Skulls, Social Distortion, The Go-Go's, & Angry Samoans. Other bands they are influenced by are The Meatmen, Negative Approach, Minor Threat, Killing Time, and the Misfits, although they are not from California. They dress in hardcore punk fashion and cholo clothes as well. Their colors are Red, Blue, and Black. Despite their desire of hate, the LMPs do not listen to Rock Against Communism or affiliate with any hate groups. In December 2016, LMP celebrated 31 years in the California punk scene, attending concerts, putting venues, etc.

Ruthlessness[edit]

So far, LMP has spread out to other states such as Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.

The gang became so sinister they caused a lot of incidents in the news. In April 1978, two Mirada Punks stabbed three Crips to death with knives. In November 1987, four kids (two Mirada Punks, two East Side Punx), killed 6 more Crips in a drive-by with AK-47s and M16s. La Mirada Punks is an extremely dangerous and racist gang. The NLR is controlling the LMP, willing to deliver their murderous message: "Fuelled by Hate". Snitches and posers are shown no mercy.

Popular culture[edit]

Vice News interviewed two Mirada Punks who knew Frank "The Shank", who was responsible for controlling the LMP to wreak havoc in punk shows. The interview was about the book "Disco's Out, Murder's In".[3]
