La Pergola Arte
La Pergola Arte di Firenze (LaPergolaArte) is an art centre founded in 2002, based in Firenze, Italy, in Tuscany. The cultural centre develops visual arts and literature via shows and conferences about renowned artists, poets, and writers. It also develops artists, poets, and writers whose work is less well known or debuting publicly. The Pergola name was taken from the street where the cultural organisation had its exhibition space at 45 Via della Pergola, near the famous Teatro della Pergola in Florence.
Events
La Pergola Arte organises several artistic and cultural activities yearly. The events include exhibitions and reviews of contemporary fine art, poetry readings, and conference presentations of books including poetry, essays, and novels. A lecture series offers debate and discussion on literary themes, contemporary history, art criticism, and art history. It organises a pictorial prize entitled "The Small Format" and an annual literary prize titled "Lilly Brogi LaPergolaArte", now in its eighth edition.[1][2]

In 2019, the association organised the collective exhibition Cave Canem artisti toscani alla ribalta with the following artists: Umberto Allori, Marcello Balestrieri, Lilly Brogi, Bruna Caselli, Lorenzo Casini, Patrizia Della Valle, Daniela Demichele, Morena Fammoni, Debora Fede, Daniele Menicucci, Stefania Silvari, at the Palazzo Bastogi, seat of the Consiglio regionale della Toscana in Florence.[3]
