Lactalis Australia Ltd. (previously Parmalat Australia), is one of Australia's largest dairy processing companies and is headquartered in South Brisbane.[1] Parmalat bought Pauls in 1998 and created the Parmalat Australia parent company in 2003, later changed to Lactalis Australia in 2019.[2]
Controversies[edit]
In Feb 2020 the company closed its Rockhampton processing facility, laying off 47 workers. This decision frustrated both the local community and the then current Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.[3]
