Lael Andrew Alexander is an American entrepreneur, inventor, and technology executive.[1][2] He is the founder and CEO of Noitavonne Inc., a Houston-based consumer electronics design and manufacturing company.[3][4]

Career

Lael Alexander founded Noitavonne Inc., initially based in Houston, Texas. The company specializes in consumer electronics design and original design manufacturing (ODM).[1][3][4] Noitavonne has developed various consumer electronic devices including tablets, smartphones, police scanners, and touch-screen kiosks.[4]

Alexander spent time working in China's technology sector. In partnership with a large investment firm from China, he founded Siecom Communications and Technology Co in 2012, China's largest Original Design House and Manufacturing firm (ODM).[5]

In 2017, Alexander relocated his company's operations to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the stated goal of contributing to the revitalization of the Greenwood District, historically known as the "Black Wall Street."[2]

Patents and inventions

Lael Alexander has contributed to the development of Miracast screen sharing technology[5][2] and is listed as the inventor on several United States patents, including:

  • WO Patent WO2020145933A1 for "Power screen protector"[6]
  • US Design Patent D702145S for "Housing for Utility Sensors"[7]
  • US Patent 20140058859A1 for "Point of Sale Multi-Functional Devices"[8]
  • US Patent 20120282914A1 for "Smart Phone Companion Loop."[9][1] This patent relates to Alexander's development of Loop Technology, a proprietary firmware solution that enables remote access to smartphones through tablets without requiring Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, data cables, or Internet connections.[1] The technology allows multitouch input transfer from tablets to smartphones, effectively creating a virtual environment where users can access their phone's full functionality remotely.[1] Noitavonne manufactured NoitMobile Android tablets that come preinstalled with Loop Technology firmware.[1] The technology was demonstrated in 2012 at CTIA (The Wireless Association’s show) in New Orleans[4], where Alexander showed the system's ability to scroll through contacts and make calls with minimal latency.[1]

Recognition

Alexander was featured in the 2023 docuseries "Rebuilding Black Wall Street",[10] which chronicles the personal stories of rebuilding the Greenwood District.[11] In the series, Alexander shares his testimony as a builder and investor of the Greenwood District, expressing his desire to reach people who have never had the drive to succeed or may have lost their motivation.[10]
