Lake County Film Festival
The Lake County Film Festival is a film festival held in Lake County, IL. Started as a two film event in 2004, it has expanded to a 100+ screening event in 2008. The festival is returning September 5 - 10, 2019, with screenings in Grayslake, Waukegan & Lake Forest.
History[edit]
The Lake County Film Festival has shown films by Greg Pak, Steve James, Chris Weitz, Jake Kasdan and Park Chan-Wook, although it is mostly known for showing smaller independent films like Four Eyed Monsters, See This Movie and Pirates of the Great Salt Lake, high profile documentaries like Reel Paradise, El Inmigrante, Abel Raises Cain and Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea. They also show a large number of short films.
