Landeskommando

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

User:SwisterTwister Thanks for your support and for coming back to me. The problem is that there are 15 Landeskommandos in 16 German states. For those individual Landeskommandos, more sources are available. Finding a source to describe the Landeskommandos as a whole is difficult. So I used the official source of the German Ministry of Defence. This source is not disputed by others. However, in the future, there could be criticism, which could be added. The other source I added focuses on the Landeskommando Hessen, but only supports the official information without adding new information. I added the source because a second source was required. From my perspective, the article has enough sources. Are there any further obstacles to address? --Stubenviech (talk) 14:05, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

The Landeskommando LKdo ("State Command") is the central command authority of the Bundeswehr ("Federal Forces") concerning the territorial tasks in all States of Germany ("Bundesländer"). It is based in the state capital, except in the state of Saarland, where its base is in Saarlouis. This system replaced, in 2013, a combination of numerous county-based organizations ("Verteidigungsbezirkskommandos") and four major organizations ("Wehrbereichskommandos") for entire Germany. The state of Berlin does not have a Landeskommando, because its tasks are fulfilled by the Kommando Territoriale Aufgaben der Bundeswehr (KdoTerrBw) "Bundeswehr Territorial Tasks Command", which leads the 15 Landeskommandos of Germany and is itself led by the Joint Support Service.

Mission

The Landeskommando is the primary partner of the states in all matters of support by the Bundeswehr. It formulates these requests in military terms and forwards them to the Kommando Territoriale Aufgaben der Bundeswehr. In case of a disaster, it prepares the Bundeswehr's mission in cooperation with the civil authorities. It receives support from liaison teams in the regions and counties of the states, who are reservists. Furthermore, the Landeskommandos lead the local reservist companies (Regionale Sicherungs- und Unterstützungskräfte (RSUKr)), coordinate Host Nation Support (HNS) according to the NATO Status of forces agreement, coordinate the actions of the Reservists Club (VdRBw), advise troops on local issues, and lead smaller units in the states that are not tied to other units, such as sport teachers, social assistance personnel, and others.

Structure

The Landeskommandos, which are equivalent to a Brigade, have a similar basic structure but differ in personnel numbers and substructure.
