Lapandaav is an Indian Marathi-language drama television series that premiered on Star Pravah on 15 September 2025. Starring Krutika Deo, Chetan Vadnere and Rupali Bhosale. It is produced by Arjaa Patnaik under the banner of Full Focus Entertainment.
Premise
The narrative centers on the complex, strained relationship between a materialistic matriarch, Tejaswini Kamat, and her idealistic daughter, Sakhi, set against a backdrop of domestic power struggles and class divide. Tejaswini—commonly addressed with absolute reverence as "Sarkar" by those around her—is an authoritarian figure who prioritises financial gain, societal status, and absolute control over familial bonds, while Sakhi longs for emotional sincerity, independence, and freedom from her mother's oppressive household. The story begins when Tejaswini arranges Sakhi's marriage to Kanha, the family's driver. Believing the marriage will free her from her mother's control, Sakhi soon discovers that Tejaswini's real intention is to keep the couple under her authority by making Kanha a resident son-in-law. As the story unfolds, Sakhi and Kanha gradually develop mutual trust and affection while navigating the manipulative circumstances surrounding their marriage.
