Largemouth is an American rock band formed in Coldwater, Michigan[1] during 2023. Largemouth consists of drummer Sonic Wasaman[2], second guitarist Gerald Finley[3], bassist Cody Finley[3], and vocalist Harald Myles[4].
History[edit]
The band was formed in early 2023 by drummer Sonic Wasaman and vocalist-guitarist Harald Myles, demoing songs and making genre ideas for a potential new project. The band later added the Finley brothers. The five met in Coldwater, Michigan on Memorial Day 2023 and signed to Seaweed Music in late May of 2023 and started recording demos for the debut album. They released their first single "Sucker" in late June 2023. Their debut album Rooster was released in late July of 2023. The album consists of eleven tracks showing a Alt-rock and Grunge style, the band was said to be more of a 90s rock style mostly compared to Candlebox.
In May 2023, they began recording music for their debut album. During the process, there has been many disputes on names, titles, etc. In April they decided on Largemouth, Myles stated that "It was an original sounding rock band name." Wasaman also stated that "We were looking for a ninety's rock band name and it took us a while to find one, espeically one that wasn't in use." They wanted to do more of a Seven Mary Three sound or a Days of the New sound for their debut album.
