From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
Larlapet, also written as lar lapet, (लड़लपेट) is one of the 13 stages of alap described by Bengali musicologist Bimalakanto Raychoudhuri (Bimala Kanta Roy Choudhury).
It consists of ladi effects alternating with places that employ meend and other enveloping sound progressions. The essence of the Larlapet is to introduce meend and aans, etc., along with ladi and lad-gutthi, etc.[citation needed]
