Larry F. Mazza is an established banking and financial services executive, entrepreneur and co-owner of a nationally-recognized sports media business, fin-tech innovator, and a civic-minded volunteer, leader and Board member of public companies and non-profit organizations.

He also serves as a member of the West Virginia Board of Banking and Financial Institutions.  

Prior to joining MVB in 2005 to lead its geographical expansion and growth, Mr. Mazza served as Senior Vice President & Retail Banking Manager for BB&T Bank’s #1 ranked retail region West Virginia North, consisting of 33 financial centers with $2 billion in assets and 300 employees. Mr. Mazza was employed by BB&T and its predecessors from 1986 to 2005.  

Previously, Mr. Mazza was President of Empire National Bank at the age of 29.  He later served as Regional President of One Valley Bank, a state-wide financial institution.  Now a veteran banker, Mr. Mazza has been credited with significantly growing assets, profits, and return on assets in each banking position he has held.  

Mr. Mazza's leading edge expertise in the growing area of fin-tech and payment processing is high sought.

Upon graduation in 1983 from West Virginia University in Business Administration, Mr. Mazza joined KPMG, a Big Four accounting firm.  Mr. Mazza is a Certified Public Accountant.  

Since 2007, Mr. Mazza has served as a Board member for PDC Energy, a NASDAQ-listed company.  Presently, he serves on the Compensation Committee and he formerly was Chair of the Nomination & Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. In 2017, he became a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Board Leadership Fellow.

Larry Mazza approaches his daily work in an entrepreneurial manner.  He is especially known for helping developing businesses to grow.
