Lars Förberg is a Swedish investor. He is the co-founder and managing partner of Cevian Capital,[1] a Pan-European activist investment fund. Cevian Capital is the largest activist investment firm in Europe.[2]
Early life and education[edit]
Förberg was born in 1965 in Stockholm. He graduated in 1990 from the Stockholm School of Economics.
Career[edit]
After finishing university in 1990, Förberg worked for the private equity group Nordic Capital. In 1997, he left to work for AB Custos, a Stockholm-based industrial holding company, eventually becoming Chief Investment Officer. In 2002, he left to found Cevian Capital with Christer Gardell.
He is currently also on the board of ABB.[3]
Philanthropy[edit]
Förberg is chairman of the Human Practice Foundation,[4] a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and skill development of children and youth.
