Thulasizwe Siphiwe Dambuza (born July 19, 1998) known professionally as Lasizwe Dambuza is a South African television personality, radio host and actor. He became a well known individual in his local area as an Internet sensation, uploading videos of himself interpreting how South Africans act on a daily basis on social networks.
Early life
Lasizwe was born in Soweto,Johannesburg. He attended a mixed race primary school called Meredale Primary in Meredale, South of Johannesburg. Then he continued on to high school, Which then he then attended Mondeor High School in Mondeor. His Late mother, Lindiwe Dambuza was a 40-year-old Nurse at Lesedi Private Hospital. His father, Menzi Mcunu was not married to his mother at the time as the couple was only dating.
His Late Mother and Sister Zonke Nkabinde played a big role in his life guiding and protecting him. Lasizwe noticed there was something different about him and had a discomfort around boys but could relate to any feminine topic. At the age of 15 he then later discovered he was gay.[4]
Career
Lasizwe has made appearances on MTV Base Africa's, You Got Got as one of the main presenters and has also presented on SABC 3's The Scoop Africa and SABC 1's The Real Goboza. He has hosted an outdoor event with Mabala Noise and presented an award at the 2017 South African Hip Hop Awards and has been featured in a Nando's tv commercial and on Fanta's tv commercial as their new teen Marketing Director. In late 2017 he became a radio presenter on TouchHD.[5][6][7][8][9]
Music career
In December 2017 Lasizwe released a song titled Ufeba Nobani, which loosely translated means, who are you cheating with. He has also been featured on Babes Wodumo and Ntando Duma's music video of the song, Jiva Phez'kombhede.[10]
Endorsements
In early 2018 Lasizwe became Teen Marketing Director for Fanta.[11]
