Latifa Ouaou is an film producer and current vice president of Paramount Animation. Her most notable works are Puss in Boots (2011), The Grinch (2018), and Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (2026).

Career

In 2011, Ouaou was nominated with Joe M. Aguilar on Best Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures from Producers Guild of America Awards on DreamWorks Animation's Puss in Boots (2011), but lost to The Adventures of Tintin (2011).[1]

In February 2019, it was reported that Bob Persichetti was set to direct a sequel follow up to Puss in Boots while Ouaou, producer of the first film, would oversee the development of the sequel with Chris Meledandri.[2] However, on March 2021, it was announced that Joel Crawford had replaced Persichetti as director, having previously helmed DreamWorks' The Croods: A New Age (2020), with producer Mark Swift (replacing Ouaou), editor James Ryan, and screenwriter Paul Fisher returning as collaborators along with Januel Mercado serving as the film's co-director.[3]

On January 2022, Ouaou was hired as the executive vice president of movies and global franchises for both Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation Studio, overseeing both streaming and theatrical films for the two companies.[4][5]
