The Commonwealth (Latimer House) Principles delineate the relationship between the three branches of government (Executive, Legislature and Judiciary) and provide guidance on the separation of powers and have been adopted by the Commonwealth of Nations in November 2003.
Those principles are named after Latimer House, where were produced the first Guidelines, at Latimer, Buckinghamshire in 1998, but they were debated and adopted by Heads of Government in Abuja, Nigeria, in 2003.[1]
