The 'Kingdom of Launggyet was an independent coastal kingdom of Arakan which existed for over 155 years. It was based in the city of Launggyet, on the west bank of the Lemro River in Rakhine coast]] near the other old capitals of Lemro Kingdom. The kingdom from 1251 to 1407 ruled over what is now Rakhine State, Myanmar and Chittagong Division, Bangladesh.
