Laura Lee, known by her stage name Leezy, is a Mexican-American singer, bassist and the founding member of the band Khruangbin. She is known for her sonic role and wardrobe changes of flashy attire in between performances.[1][2][3]
Biography[edit]
Lee is from Houston, Texas. She learned to play bass in 2009 and later toured as part of the backing band for DJ artist Yppah. A year later, she formed Khurangbin with Mark Speer and drummer Donald Ray “DJ” Johnson.[4][5][6] Her work on her albums The Universe Smiles upon You, Con Todo el Mundo and Mordechai was released on notable record labels, Dead Oceans and Night Time Stories.[7][8][9] Her singles from her albums were also featured on UK's charts.[10][11][12]
